Welcome to the 2019-2020 Academic Year. With over 2,850 students enrolled as business majors and over 3,500 students enrolled in business courses at West Texas A&M University this fall, the coming year promises to be eventful.
In the past, the College of Business has occasionally shared information with alumni and stakeholders via a printed magazine. Outreach to students has been in the form of an e-newsletter. As we start a new academic year, we are pleased to share the decision to create a quarterly digital newsletter that will combine content for students, alumni, and various stakeholders. A benefit of serving as dean is the opportunity to visit and learn from many members of the College of Business family including students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, university administrators, and members of the business community. These stakeholder conversations are often exciting and heartwarming, at times challenging, and almost always gravitate back to the amazing opportunities our business program faces as we seek to fulfill our mission through teaching, research, service, and regional economic development enhancement efforts. We look forward to sharing highlights of our progress with you in this and forthcoming issues of Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business Digital Newsletter. I hope you are as proud of our students, faculty, alumni, and supporters featured in the digital newsletter as I am.
